Born in Monterrey, México. Based in Los Angeles, Memo works across narrative features, commercials, concert films and occasional video art detours. His recent work includes The Blue Trail (dir. Gabriel Mascaro), winner of the Silver Bear at the 2025 Berlinale; Idiots (dir. Macon Blair), selected for Sundance 2026; The Thicket, a snow-covered western; and Tumor, an upcoming trippy thriller starring Sam Rockwell. He collaborated with visual artist Sol Oosel on Las Coristas, a video installation exhibited at PEANA Gallery.
Working an intuitive sensibility, calm temperament, and an ability to lead and flow through changing conditions, Memo keeps both eyes open when looking through the viewfinder, one inside the frame, the other somewhere just outside of it.
